Fact-Checking & Sources

PunjabFile.org is committed to accuracy in historical documentation. This page describes how we verify information before publishing it.

Primary Sources

We prioritise primary sources: government and judicial records, official inquiries, declassified documents, contemporaneous news reports, and direct testimonies from identified individuals. Where a document is cited, we aim to link to or identify it so readers can verify it independently.

Secondary Sources

Academic works, books, and investigative journalism are used as secondary sources and are attributed by author, title, and publication date. We do not treat any single secondary source as definitive.

Disputed Accounts

Where events are disputed or figures are contested, we note the disagreement rather than presenting one version as settled fact. Our goal is to document what is known, what is debated, and what remains unclear.

Errors

If you believe we have published an error, contact us via our Contact page with the relevant details. We take all such reports seriously.
